The Waring WTO450 is one of the newest appliances in Waring's Toaster Oven (WTO) line of products. This is their entry model while the WTO150 is their more advanced model. The biggest difference between the 2 is that the WTO150 has 2 toasting slots on the top right of the appliance for convenient bread toasting. Although the WTO450 model doesn't have the toasting slots, it is just as versatile as the WTO150. Both come with Toast, Bake, and Broil settings making them much more advanced than many of their competitors.
There are 3 dials on the Waring WTO450 that let you control the device; the Function Selector Dial, Temperature Control Dial, and Timer/Toast Shade Control Dial. The Function Selector Dial lets you choose between the different cooking settings of Toast, Bake, and Broil. The Temperature Control Dial adjusts the thermostat to your desired temperature (up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit). The Timer/Toast Shade Control Dial allows you to adjust the time you'd like to cook your food up to 30 minutes. Once the time is up, the internal bill will ring and the oven will be turned off.
For being such a small device, the Waring WTO450 does have a lot of room and a lot of cooking power. The product dimensions (D x W x H) are 12.25 x 16 x 9". Even with being this small, the inside has .45 cubic ft. capacity and can fit 4 slices of bread. Your food is cooked with 1500 watts of power and the appliacne can good at 450 degrees Fahrenheit as stated above.
The appliance even comes with a few accessories to help cook different recipes. The first is a removable crumb tray which conveniently catches crumbs at the bottom of the appliance and pulls out for easy cleaning. A reversible oven/broil rack is included for when you are cooking meat and/or fish that has drippings. Instead of having the food sit in its own pan drippings, the fat will drip off into the crumb tray below resulting in a healthier meal. A baking pan is also included for recipes that are better cooked using a pan (cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc).
Anyone looking for an entry level toaster oven won't be disappointed with the Waring WTO450. Although it doesn't come with the side toasting feature like the more expensive WTO150, it does come with the same feature to allow the appliance to Toast, Bake, and Broil setting it apart from its competition.
